Save The Date Magnets For The Special Event
Save the date magnets are the new best thing. I cannot tell you how many times I have lost track of invitations sent to me way in advance of one event or another. I don’t mean to be disorganized, but they somehow find their way into my desk drawer to be forgotten until time is of the essence. Last spring I went to a birthday party one day early. Imagine my embarrassment when I arrived, gift in hand, to find the hostess cleaning her house. Oops. Thank heavens she is a good friend.
We all had a laugh about it when I came back for the actual party. That would not have happened if I had a save the date magnet on my fridge.
This type of magnet is becoming more and more common for weddings and anniversary parties. They can be made in any color, photos can be added, and most importantly, all the pertinent information will be on that magnet. The photo magnets are also a nice memento. It’s just nice to have a reminder of an upcoming event. Invitations often go out months in advance and you always think you have plenty of time to get a gift, pick an outfit, or make other arrangements. All of a sudden you find yourself searching desperately for that piece of paper and hoping you have remembered the date correctly.
Most of us are not busy enough to employ a social secretary, but we do have pretty full lives and whatever makes remembering a special occasion easier is a blessing. Heaven forbid you forget Great Aunt Hazels’ 90th birthday party or find at the very last minute, you have a conflict. Yep, I think that save the date magnets are a dandy idea. It definitely beats rummaging through the desk and hoping I have not missed something entirely.
If you happen to be in charge of planning your family reunion, high school reunion, or company picnic, think about save the date magnets. You can order them for nearly any occasion you can think of. They are not very expensive, are easily mailed, and they will make the attendees lives easier. No one will forget to show up and you’ll look like a genius. Who could ask for more? If you’re anything like me though, put one or two on your own fridge. You don’t want to miss your own party.
