Car Magnets Tell Everyone Who You Are

Bumper stickers are becoming less popular with the invention of car magnets. You don’t have to ruin your paint job, windows, or chrome bumpers with messy stickers. Just pick your cause or sentiment and slap on a magnet to express it. If you get tired of it, take it off. That could not be simpler, no more scraping off glue.

Hey, I admit it. I like to express myself as much as anyone else. I have a yellow ribbon magnet to support the troops and another to encourage people to spay or neuter their pets.

You can support your favorite sports team as well. I have had one bumper sticker in my life. It was to support an animal organization. I put it on my car innocently enough and never expected to see a comment about it in a local newspaper. The author noted that while I professed to brake for animals, I had in fact, cut her off. I was mortified. I lived in a very small town and I scraped that sticker off immediately, but it was not easy. Too bad I did not have a car magnet.

Another great use for car magnets is signs. Wow, having your car or truck door custom painted with your business sign is an expensive endeavor. If it is your only mode of transportation, there might also be times you don’t want to advertise on it. The magnetic signs look great. They come in all colors and you can choose from a stock logo or create your own, and best of all, you can easily remove them if you need to.

Schools and other organizations often sell car magnets to raise money. Team logos are very popular. I see a lot of breast cancer ribbons and patriotic magnets as well. I bought my spay/neuter one to benefit the humane society and the yellow ribbon to support the local VFW. They are not very expensive and most people are willing to spend a few dollars to help you support your cause.

As with bumper stickers, some of the car magnets are just plain funny. It will ease your boredom when you’re stuck in traffic. Read something funny to keep your road rage at bay. If you cannot find one that says what you want, they sell blanks. Take your favorite bumper sticker and apply it to the blank magnet. You’ll have the best of both things, a sticker that says what you want and easy removal.
